Flo Federman is Director of Marketing Communications at Holtz Rubenstein Reminick LLP, a Certified Public Accounting and business advisory firm, where she has spearheaded countless successful marketing and public relations efforts for its New York City and Melville offices. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Federman served in the same position at the law firm of Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Schlissel P.C.

In a business community where it is difficult to make your mark in one profession, Flo has had an impact in two. Before making the jump to marketing, she succeeded in the radio and television industry for 10 years. She is still involved in radio, peripherally, as a fill-in news anchor and co-host on WKJY-FM and WMJC-FM and gained fame as the News Director and Morning Show Co-Host of the "Rick and Flo Show" on B-103 Radio, as well as in the news departments of WALK-FM, WHFM-FM, News 12 Long Island, and WLIG-TV 55.

A highlight in Flo's career has been the re-branding of her firm. She participated in all aspects of strategic vision, including internal and external communications, winning several prestigious national and international competitions.

She is the immediate past president of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI), administrator of the Press Club of Long Island, and as a member of the Association for Accounting Marketing and the International Association of Business Communicators, where she served as Co-Chair of the Long Island chapter's Silver Quill awards competition. She is a founding member and former chairperson of the U.S. marketing committee of DFK International, a worldwide association of CPA firms. Federman has served on the planning committee of Fair Media's FOLIO Awards and is also a longtime volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, named Volunteer of the Year in 1998.

Honors have followed this community service. In 2009, she was named among the 50 Most Influential Business Women on Long Island. She was selected among the 40 Under 40 Business Achievers, Class of 2003 and in 2009 was elected Salutatorian of the 40/40 Alumni. Flo was chosen among the Top Marketing Achievers of 2005, won IABC's Achievement in Communications Award in 2007 and was a finalist in the Marketing category in the 2008 Execuleaders Awards. She has been honored with the Rising Star Award from PRPLI and the Phil Spahn Leadership Award from the Press Club, along with many media awards while in broadcasting.

In her spare time, Flo is a community theater actress, and can be seen doing a Shakespearean soliloquy, or standing on a table warbling a tune, depending on the time and place. She earned a bachelor's degree in communications, cum laude honors, from Syracuse University.
